Good evening, the contributions made by me were to be able to contribute Peruvian soccer and its teams to the community. It should be noted that I did it because there was a user who simply disappeared and there are some teams that lost their image on the page. What I did was recover the shields and add some well-made ones because there were some poorly made or taken from other pages, and if you insist that you are going to delete them, I will accept it, I only did it to contribute to Peruvian football.

And if all my contributions are deleted, I will officially withdraw from contributing to the page.

Buenos días. La foto está permitida porque es de unos artístias qué hacen pinturas del club Atlético San Lorenzo de Almagro. Lo hacen en las calles para que se pueda visualizar sin problemas por nadie y no hay problema en tomar una foto que esta desde hace ya 7 años en Wikipedia.

Russia recently amended its FoP law to allow treating images of things like statues etc. under a "sort of" FoP rule as long as those images are used for travel guides and the like. With this, Wikivoyage can host such images without restrictions like under a fair use rationale. The nominated image is used on Russian Wikivoyage and likely falls under the new FoP regulation. However, there's currently no local copy of the image on Wikivoyage. I've marked the image for transfer and am asking the closing admin to please wait with the deletion until the image has been transferred to Wikivoyage. This image of an event that happened on April 19, 2024 was published on the @NWSAnchoraage X stream with the attribution "Credit to Geremy Clarion who captured these pictures"[1]

There is no claim that he was acting as an employee of the US federal government, or that the photo was ineligible for copyright for any other reason. Therefore, as a photo taken in the United States after 1989, copyright existed from the moment it was taken.

The attribution does not claim or imply that the photographer transferred his rights into the public domain or published this image under a free license.

This image has been uploaded to Commons based on a rationale that it is covered by the site disclaimer for weather.gov and/or the submission guidelines for the Sioux City NWS office.

However, ChessEric discovered the first-ever actual photo of a tornado on the DAT…this one. URL for the DAT. I confirmed it is on the DAT still. The DAT caption only says, “Weak landspout observed near Rusty Point.”, no attribution or anything. Since it is on the DAT, this should be a kept photo? I can also confirm the DAT has not one, but three photos of the tornado listed for that specific “survey” point: 1 2 3. Since it is 3 different photos, maybe no merge needs to happen? I don't think so. I believe this DR image (the "(0)" image), is the same as the "(3)" image. Image "(1)" and "(2)" look to be more and more zoomed in than "(3)/(0)". That said, the actual tornado looks slightly different in each of the 3 photo zooms. Metadata is also different for each photo (specifically shutter speed/zoom and other things). The time stamps are the same minute though. Based on that, I think the photos are just taken within seconds of each other, but still different actual photos, not the same one. So this image (calling it "(0)" to separate them even though it doesn't have a "(#)") is the same as "(3)", so those need merging together. But "(1)" and "(2)" are different. Comment Images by Walter Stoneman (d. 1958) would be under copyright until at least 2029. I haven't looked at all the photos to see if other photographers' work are included here. The National Portrait Gallery's licensing has some non-copyright overreach in it for items that are covered by {{PD-Art}} or {{PD-Scan}} (see, en:National Portrait Gallery and Wikimedia Foundation copyright dispute), so looking at information about publication and the photographer is necessary. —Tcr25 (talk) 12:59, 5 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

All three of these photos are apparently from Google Maps, with the different authors named for each presumably being users who uploaded their images to Google. I'm assuming pictures uploaded to Google Maps do not have a Commons-compatible license by default (please correct me if I'm wrong) and I see no evidence of one provided here. The file description claims that this is a musician. We appear to have articles on two Wiki projects of an Egyptian musician with that name. If the depicted musician and the one in the article are they same, then it's not just a personal photo, and in scope. See: w:ar:محمد رشاد and w:arz: محمد رشاد. I am afraid but we will need to delete these photos because they depict artworks by a living artist.

Hi! I uploaded this logo to match old SVG Splatoon logos such as the Splatoon and Splatoon 2 ones.

I consider this SVG as complex as the Splatoon 2 logo and therefore I would like it to not be deleted as I don't think it is an infringement of copyright since it is not complex enough to be copyrighted, or at least is as much complex as the old logos which are marked as non complex enough.

In a picture of a building, there are two copyrights: one for the picture, and one for the building. The copyright for the building is covered by FOP, but we still need a permission for the picture. Yes, you are lumping things together. You put photographs of buildings in Austria (where freedom of panorama applies), photographs of buildings in other countries (where freedom of panorama may or may not apply) and drawings (where the copyright clearly is with the artist) in one single deletion request. That doesn't work. If there is a problem with the licensing or if it is unclear, whether the uploader actually is the photographer or has the necessary rights to upload the pictures, then it is a completely different issue and has to be stated accordingly. However, this then has nothing to do with the architects of the buildings, as you claim. Appeal for speedy deletion: The file File:THE WRATH OF KHAN.png is a colored text on a black background that I made in Photoshop. It's basically a copy of the old German version of Star trek 2 de.svg that had the Wikidata file before mine and that was used in almost all other versions of Wikipedia. It cannot infringe any copyright because, as the license indicates, it is a simple text on a black background, like the thousands of movie production logos on Commons. The user who requested the prompt deletion of this and other similar files "because it is a logo" has uploaded several similar negative versions, such as File:Star trek the motion picture logo black.png as logos too. Keep I looked at a couple of these and they were uploader in 2012. Realistically how long should we wait for a file with no source and/or year to be hosted on Commons before its resonable to nominate it for deletion based on the lack of information? (I'm not asking to be facetious, I'd seriously like to know). But then why vote keep? Some of these are clearly PD and I'm not a fan people nominating images that are otherwise clearly PD for deletion just because they lack a source or specific date of creation. I would like to know how long we should wait to delete files with no source or date in cases where it isn't clearly in the public domain though and someone should renominate said files here for deletion without includes the ones that are PD in with it. --Adamant1 (talk) 05:18, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
