Mapas "Free" en Wikicommons
B_dashː Quisiera saber que mapas acepta WikiCommons para no ser eliminados. La página "OpenStreetMap" tiene mapas interesantes pero preferiría otra proyección cartográfica, más para la República Argentina. ¿Qué otras páginas "FreeMaps" me recomienda? A la espera de su respuesta. Saludos cordiales. Fernando T. de Gorocica 12:52, 31 May 2018 (UTC)

Image Deletions
Hey, I need you to stop deleting images that you deem are "not good". Several images of mine were deleted that did not fall into line for removal and fit the niche of images that are need for people looking for images at a particular time. If I see you continue this behavior of destructive image removal like you have done for me and others, I will have no problem making a post on the incident board. Thanks Supportstorm (talk) 04:28, 8 June 2018 (UTC)

Look at your reply. You said: "I give you the F2C comment just want to give you one more method of uploading Flickr files to Commons." You don't answer the question I asked at "Commons:Deletion requests/File:Looking up the exterior of Taoyuan Public Library Lunggang Branch.jpg" and "Commons:Deletion requests/File:Entrance sign at Datun Nature Park in Sanzhi.jpg", and you want to interfere with my upload pictures from Flickr?! You clearly don't have a valid reason. At this moment I feel you are harassing me. I hope you don't do the same in the future.--Kai3952 (talk) 19:49, 18 June 2018 (UTC)
Re: Reply
You said: "Before uploading files, you should check the images that are within the FoP". Yes, I know, but I have difficulty understanding what is the FoP. As you can see: zh.wikimedia, village pump, Jeff G's talk page, and Túrelio's talk page. I try to understand how to judgment and distinguish the files based on COM:FOP#Taiwan policy, but no one really knows what I am supposed to understand. Because I'm feeling lost and confused.--Kai3952 (talk) 16:18, 18 June 2018 (UTC)
Talk a look at Commons:Deletion requests/File:Entrance sign at Datun Nature Park in Sanzhi.jpg. I ask you about "2D art-work", but you have not responded yet. I need your explanation so that I know what I should do. Also, I have repeatedly asked you to reply to discussion, because I have informed you on your talk page(see: [2] and [3]). But what I see is: What you answered was not at all in connection with what I asked. You make me angry and troubled. Do not forget that these two files submitted by you to COM:DR. I hope you face what you did, and do not let me ask to other users(see: [4] and [5]). If this happens again in the future, I will report you to COM:ANU.--Kai3952 (talk) 18:24, 18 June 2018 (UTC)
Source of derivative work is not properly indicated: File:Kim Jong-un visiting Berlin. (32900447604).jpg
This file may be deleted. |
A file that you have uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, File:Kim Jong-un visiting Berlin. (32900447604).jpg, is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such works would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a map that has been altered from the original. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.
While the description page states who made this derivative work, it currently doesn't specify who created the original work, so the overall copyright status is unclear. If you did not create the original work depicted in this image, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. Please edit the file description and add the missing information, or the file may be deleted. If you created the original content yourself, enter this information as the source. If someone else created the content, the source should be the address to the web page where you found it, the name and ISBN of the book you scanned it from, or similar. You should also name the author, provide verifiable information to show that the content is in the public domain or has been published under a free license by its author, and add an appropriate template identifying the public domain or licensing status, if you have not already done so. Please add the required information for this and other files you have uploaded before adding more files. If you need assistance, please ask at the help desk. Thank you! |

Critically evaluate Flickr licenses
|
File:Your recent uploads has been marked as a copyright violation. You may have preserved the information shown on Flickr correctly when transferring the image here, but the Flickr uploader is not the copyright holder of this image. Either the image was created by someone else, or it is a derivative of someone else's work. As stated in Commons:Licensing, only the copyright holder may issue a license, so the one shown on Flickr is invalid.
Always remember to critically evaluate Flickr licenses. Photostreams with professional-looking photographs, album covers, posters, and images in a wide range of styles or quality taken by many different cameras often indicate that the Flickr uploader either does not understand or does not care about copyright matters. See Commons:Questionable Flickr images for a list of known bad Flickr users.

This file may be deleted. |
A file that you have uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, File:Green Planet (25767224761).png, is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image".
Thank you! |

Hi. I've already warned you June 21 to critically evaluate Flickr licenses and you continue to post problematic pictures and waste volunteers' time. Concerning Donald Trump and his wife watching eclipse.jpg, it's obvious that Melania Trump (who is pictured in the photo) is not the photographer. The small size of the photo should have alert you. Concerning Green Planet (25767224761).png it's obvious too that it's a derivative work from NASA and not from the so-called Kevin Gill from Los Angeles, CA, United States. Moreover picture can be found all over the Internet. In short if you think you're not able to recognize COM:LL please avoid uploading such files. I'm afraid I have to contact Administrators next time. Kind regards, --Patrick Rogel (talk) 12:41, 27 July 2018 (UTC)

Hello A1Cafel.
You have uploaded one or more files that are copyright violations. You have done so despite requests from editors not to do so, and despite their instructions. See Commons:Licensing for the copyright policy on Wikimedia Commons. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules by subject matter useful. This is your last warning. The next time you upload a file that violates copyright, you will be blocked. Please leave me a message if you have further questions. |

- I am Davidzdh. 05:28, 12 August 2018 (UTC)

Type 59\Tiran 4
- Comment Can you explain why do you moved the files of Tankfest 2012 that depicted a tank, called by all Type 59 to Tiran 4. The fact is at least the tank depicted in File:Tiran4sh bovington.jpg is marked as a Type 59 by the Bovington Museum. The other, if you search the net you will see images of the other tank marked as a Type 59 and not as an Tiran 4, and even in Tankfest 2012 is called an Type 59, by the voice of David Fletcher, a former employer of The Tank Museum and an historian of armoured warfare, as you can see the same voice in the former video and this video, made by the The Tank Museum. Tm (talk) 04:17, 30 August 2018 (UTC)
- I moved the file based on the description and I believed it is a typo. Now I revert all of them. --B dash (talk) 04:23, 30 August 2018 (UTC)
- The move was requested by @Tyg728: . There is another video, calling the first tank as Type 59, by none other than David Fletcher and David Willey, Tank Museum Curator. But thanks for the reversions. Tm (talk) 04:27, 30 August 2018 (UTC)
- 与中国的59式坦克完全不一样,中国网友讨论认为:是以色列的Tiran4sh。Tiran4是以色列改造版T54,Tiran4sh换装105炮。--Tyg728 (talk) 06:10, 30 August 2018 (UTC)

- ªNop, Tyg728, this is a Type 59 upgraded in the United Kingdom, and fitted with an Royal Ordnance 105mm rifled Gun, not a Tiran 4 with a 105mm rifled gun. This information is given in the videos above by the staff of The Tank Museum, mainly David Fletcher, a former employer of The Tank Museum and an historian of armoured warfare, and David Willey curator of The Tank Museum. Even so, some chinese upgrade to the Type 59, also carry a Royal Ordnance 105mm rifled Gun. Tm (talk) 13:39, 30 August 2018 (UTC)
--Tyg728 (talk) 05:43, 31 August 2018 (UTC)

NHFD files
I am a bit confused as to why you would revert my deletion tags from the files in this category, just to add a separate set of deletion tags. Please note that I am not the original uploader of these files. I only ported them over from Wikipedia, several years ago. The original upload log for each is on the page, and indicates that the original uploader was User:Nhfd147, who has not been active since 2011. I recently had occasion to review their copyright status, and found via Internet Archive that the website where these images originally appeared asserts copyright in all images on the site. They should be deleted immediately. BD2412 T 04:21, 3 September 2018 (UTC)

About: Moving from Category:Typhoon Mangkhut (2018) in Shenzhen to Category:Effects of Typhoon Mangkhut in China
I wonder why you move all the pictures/videos from Category:Typhoon Mangkhut (2018) in Shenzhen to Category:Effects of Typhoon Mangkhut in China? I think it is better to categorize them in a more accurate area. --Yejianfei (talk) 10:03, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
Use of user talk archives
Hi, with regard to this diff, could you supply a link to the archive version please so that I can reference it? By taking this action you effectively deleted the ping to a WMF staff member within 60 seconds of me posting it, I do not understand why you thought that was necessary or within policy. Thanks --Fæ (talk) 09:30, 21 September 2018 (UTC)

Do not use the Template:Tl templates on images that have a clearly appropriate permission, such as File:Sanja Spasova.jpg. If you doubt the permission, either use a more appropriate tag, such as Template:Tl, or file a deletion request. Sebari – aka Srittau (talk) 08:33, 30 September 2018 (UTC)
- Srittau: That's a perfectly appropriate use of the tag. There is no evidence that the subject (who is supposedly the author of the photo, even though it doesn't look like a selfie) agreed to transfer the copyright to the uploader. The uploader claims to be the copyright holder ("I, the copyright holder"), but makes no claim of being the author. That's a textbook example of when OTRS permission confirming the authorship and copyright transfer should be expected. Looking at Special:Log/Gero1119, the uploader appears to be making dubious claims of being the copyright holder of the works of a lot of different people. None of this was addressed by the rather disappointing deletion discussions. Yes, the nominations were inadequate, but I don't understand how that many administrators could have looked at this and not had alarm bells go off. —LX (talk, contribs) 10:55, 30 September 2018 (UTC)
- Template:Ping Seem like perfect arguments for a DR, not an inappropriate tag. Sebari – aka Srittau (talk) 19:54, 30 September 2018 (UTC)
- Let's try again: Not. Inappropriate. —LX (talk, contribs) 20:15, 30 September 2018 (UTC)
- Calm down. But my warning above stands. Inappropriate, especially considering multiple previous DRs. Sebari – aka Srittau (talk) 20:41, 30 September 2018 (UTC)
- Perfectly calm, but apparently still failing to get the message across. Template:Tld is perfectly appropriate for uploads that are missing evidence of permission from the author. In lieu of warnings, here's some firm advice: You're free to voice your disagreement with the tagging by converting it to a deletion discussion, but don't just remove appropriate problem tags, and don't go around "warning" people for using problem tags appropriately. —LX (talk, contribs) 22:50, 30 September 2018 (UTC)

Template:Autotranslate 219.79.127.46 13:47, 6 January 2019 (UTC)
A user on Russian Forum is currently complaining that you marked this category for speedy deletion several times, despite the fact that there were files sorted in. One time the category was restored by Template:U after request, but you marked it again and moved files to a more generic category. I would request you not to do so anymore, as the deletion obviously has no consensus and the category is in use. --A.Savin 14:05, 7 January 2019 (UTC)
- Template:Ping It is because the main category doesn't have much photos like Category:Solar eclipse of 2017 August 21. It is better for us to keep it in one category. Otherwise it may be clumsy for those who want to search the photos. --B dash ([[User talk:B dash#top|int:Talkpagelinktext]]) 14:10, 7 January 2019 (UTC)
- Commons:Categories#Modularity principle states the exact opposite. Beyond that, you could discuss the issue instead of POV-pushing, couldn't you? Sealle ([[User talk:Sealle|int:Talkpagelinktext]]) 14:23, 7 January 2019 (UTC)
- I think it is legitimate to have the Solar eclipse photos in subcategories by country. There is no rule on a minimum on photos in one category -- in practice, catgeories with just one file are not rare. The category on Finland was correctly named and categorized, so I'm going to restore it and, as I said, please do not mark it without to discuss first. --A.Savin 14:41, 7 January 2019 (UTC)
