English: Commonslinky is a bot in the Commons IRC channel #wikimedia-commons on irc.freenode.net, usually run by datura (de), DaB. (de) or da_didi (de). Thanks to Commonslinky, you can use square bracket syntax [[xyz]] while chatting. When the bot encounters a word in double square brackets, he posts the URL to that page. However, he doesn't check whether the given link works, i.e. whether the page actually exists.

Commonslinky would be glad to tell you about other things he's able to do, if asked by !hilfe (German only at the moment).

Commonslinky erlaubt es, auch im Chat mit den gewohnten Klammern [[ und ]] zu arbeiten; bekommt er ein Wort in eckigen Klammern geliefert, so liefert er die URL zu diesem Artikel zurück. Commonslinky geht dabei undifferenzierend vor, das heißt, er liefert auch eine URL, wenn der entsprechende Artikel nicht existiert.
