The head of the Maratha state was the Chhatrapati, or Emperor.

Chh. Sambhaji, or Shambhu Raje, was the second Chhatrapati of Maratha Empire. He ruled from 1680 - 1689.
Chh. Shahu Raje Bhosale - छ. शाहू राजे भोसले

Chh. Shahu, birth name Shivaji, was the fifth Chhatrapati of Maratha Empire. He ruled from 1707 - 1749.
