User:Covid19DataBot

This is a bot to copy COVID-19 case data from English Wikipedia to tabular data namespace ("Data:") on Commons. The source code is available at github.com/evanp/covid19databot.

Once copied, the data can be used by third parties or re-imported into other language versions of Wikipedia, or even other projects, using Scribunto.

The bot is originally created by User:EProdromou (WMF), a Wikimedia staff member, to make it easier for people to re-use the great data available on Wikipedia about COVID-19 cases.

Copies data from English Wikipedia tables and graphs about COVID-19 cases to structured tables in the Data: namespace It is not a sock puppet, but rather an automated or semi-automated account for making repetitive edits that would be extremely tedious to do manually.
