I see sincerity in the message. This account is still tolerated in this project only because it acts like a worm that decomposes garbage, and nothing more. It's a pity that it doesn't focus on the real garbage – copyright violations – but on images related to freedom of panorama. Being autistic like them, I understand their hyperfocus, but I would like them to realize it and start acting constructively instead of being so harassing as they are now.   While I get frustrated by A1Cafel's calls on what to delete and I do believe there is sometimes bias on their part (hopefully unintentional), I do believe that A1Cafel is acting in good faith. I have seen a lot of good work from them. At least on my end I have not seen A1Cafel intentionally trying to bully or troll people. I have only seen A1Cafel make absolutist judgement calls that I would consider on the side of excessive caution rather than in the interest of Wikimedia Commons and Wikipedia's mission. The fact that you claim to be a supporter of the public domain on your user page can only be a bad joke. The fanaticism with which you want to delete entire categories shows that you are actually striving for a complete privatization of public space. RfC: Third-party images published by the National Weather Service

I've now reviewed 1,000 images uploaded under the rationales expressed in the {{PD-NWS}} template and requested deletion of several.

The arguments for deletion, and to keep, are now following repetitive, predictable patterns and it would greatly help all involved if we could centralise discussion and obtain some wider community input.

Therefore, I have opened an RfC to gather opinions. Apologies in advance: it's long and detailed, but is frankly nothing compared to the words and time expended by all parties up to this point. Probably the most crucial issue revolves around how we interpret a general disclaimer published at weather.gov (Q.1 in the RfC).

@Baginda 480: Mr. Hussein Onn became a member of Malaysian Parliament in 1971, then became a deputy PM in 1973 (later PM in 1976). Assuming the photo was taken when he took the oath of office as MP of Malaysia, it was definitely after 1963. I really doubt the date that marked by the uploader. Save urls of South Africa FoP deletions

I have one very important request for you as you are by far the largest nominator for South African Freedom of Panorama deletion requests. Since Freedom of Panorama is included in the Copyright Amendment Bill of 2018, which looks likely to pass into law (though no one knows when), I would like to know if you could please save on commons somewhere a list of all of the South Africa Freedom of Panorama deletion requests you have made? That way, when the bill is finally gazetted into law the Admins can go through the list and undelete them. Thank you, Discott (talk) 09:24, 2 September 2024 (UTC)

@Discott: I have added [[Category:South African FOP cases/pending]] to each ZA's FoP nomination. Once the South African Parliament passed the amended FoP law, those images will be undeleted by the admins. So no worry on that. --A1Cafel (talk) 09:52, 2 September 2024 (UTC)

I learned something new

I didn't know that deletion requests need to be categorized manually, but I now noticed that you've been doing such categorizations. I've used those maintenance categories at least once or twice to get an idea of what could fall under TOO, for example. Very helpful categories.
