Why did you delete all my photos?
[edit]Good morning @Explicit I would like to ask why you deleted almost all the photos from my BlueAulonocara profile? The author of the photos is Hubert Gostomski, nickname hubcik He took all these photos for me. Why were they deleted. There is no reason for them to be deleted. Please restore these photos. BlueAulonocara (talk) 16:09, 4 August 2024 (UTC)
- @BlueAulonocara: Hi, which photos are you referring to? I checked and nothing uploaded by your account has been deleted. ✗plicit 04:25, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
- Here are the files you deleted: "UPDATE 05:47, 24 Jul 2024 CommonsDelinker discussion edits 30,930 bytes -79 Deletion of reference to file Damian_Maliszewski_(Malta,_Love,_2018).jpg because user Explicit deleted it from Commons cancel edit thank you [automatically reviewed].

- @ExplicitPlease go into my edit history, there is information there that you deleted my files BlueAulonocara (talk) 10:15, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Explicit They asked me the same question and I also checked to see nothing was deleted. I'm suspecting they may be using an alternate account Gbawden (talk) 06:45, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
- @GbawdenAs I wrote you yesterday, I made a mistake because your nickname was displayed to me here:
- https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Deletion_requests/Files_uploaded_by_Hubcik BlueAulonocara (talk) 10:13, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
- @BlueAulonocara are you also User Hubcik? Gbawden (talk) 10:34, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Gbawden@ExplicitHubcik is the author of the photos by Damian Maliszewski. What is the reason for deleting these photos? There was no reason to deny these photos. Should Hubcik contact you and ask you to restore these photos? BlueAulonocara (talk) 18:27, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
- @BlueAulonocara We need permission from the photographer via COM:VRT Gbawden (talk) 07:06, 6 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Gbawden@Explicit I believe that the removal of these photos was unnecessary and is due to a lack of goodwill. There was no rationale for deleting these photos. No one claimed rights to them, since the author is Hubcik. If you had any doubts, all you had to do was type "Damian Maliszewski Hubert Gostomski" into an Internet search engine and you would be presented with many photographs that are proof that Hubcik photographed Damian Maliszewski. Well, Hubcik will get back to you and provide evidence that he is the author of the photos. BlueAulonocara (talk) 08:56, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
Username style
[edit]Hi, just wanted to let you know that your username is practically invisible if one uses dark mode for Commons ⬛⬜. It's not a big deal, so feel free to ignore this observation if you wish. But if you'd want to make a small change that probably won't affect what your username looks like in light mode and yet would make it visible in dark mode, then you could probably just add a white border along the shape of the "X"-icon(?) 🔳🔲.
